Telemetree, Inc. announced today that Ron Cook has joined the company as President. An honors graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Cook was previously Program Director (Dean) in the graduate school of business at Full Sail University, where he developed and managed the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Master of Science degree program.

Cook’s extensive operations background includes both startups and established enterprise operations in fields as diverse as hospitality, publishing, ecommerce and education. An Atlanta native, Cook was previously a partner in an Atlanta-based private equity group, where he served as CEO of one of the firm’s portfolio companies.

An award winning luxury hotel executive, Cook previously served as President of Marriott’s franchise owners group. A dynamic presenter and speaker, he also serves as the Entertainment Chair for the American Cancer Society Central Florida division’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event, which was the second largest event of its kind in the country in 2014.

Commenting about the move, Cook said: “I’m excited to join Telemetree, where we are already creating a plan for using new and emerging technologies to solve real-world business problems. I see tremendous opportunities to provide creative solutions with a demonstrable return on investment.“ Commenting on the location of the company’s headquarters in downtown Orlando, Cook said: “We are pleased to be part of an amazing new tech hub, Canvs, in the Church Street Exchange building downtown. It is truly a microcosm for the Central Florida tech community, with tremendous synergy and networking.” Canvs is also home to business accelerator Starter Studio, where Cook serves as a mentor for startup entrepreneurs.
